Josh Hancock suit
Unbelievable. Josh Hancock's estate / survivors have filed a lawsuit on his behalf. So in case you're wondering, when you're drunk and high and speeding down the highway with no seatbelt on while you're talking on your cell phone trying to arrange a hooker for later, the accident is still someone else's fault.
He even sued the poor sap he hit, whose disabled car was off on the side of the roadway!! If you drunkenly hit a parked car, how do you have the balls to sue the owner of the parked car? That's like rear-ending someone stopped at a red light and then jumping out of your car screaming, "What the hell are you doing?"
I just wonder how long it will take before we hear the magic words, "It's not about the money." Yeah, right. It never is.

Even if all of the other factors are true (tow truck driver took too long, flares weren't out, the driver of the stalled vehicle didn't handle things properly, etc.) it doesn't change the fact that hancock was driving drunk, maybe high, talking on his cell phone, speeding, and not wearing a seatbelt. I know it's tragic when your son dies, but why transfer some of that pain and tragedy to so many other people? Why try and destroy other lives? And if you want to sue someone, how about the model set by manager tony larussa who was cited for DUI during the offseason?
